2021 Rio Linda Elverta Christmas Light Parade Participant Registration

Thank you for entering and participating in this year’s RLE Christmas Light Parade!

In just five short years, this has become one of the biggest holiday events in the Sacramento area. We’ve had people come from as far away as the Bay Area and the foothills to see how we celebrate the holiday season in a rural, small-town California way.

As with our last parade in 2019, we are asking for a $20.88 donation to help fund the event (88 cents to cover the Paypal cut). As you know, this is a grassroots event, funded by donations from local businesses and staffed entirely by volunteers. Permits, licenses, traffic control, audio equipment, all of it is funded by donations.

DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION IS MONDAY, DECEMBER 6TH. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Car, Truck, Boat, Motorcycle, Tractor-trailer, Bicycles, animals, horses, walking, crawling, etc, etc, etc...
Make it GOOD! This is what the announcer is going to say about your entry. Keep it tight, just 2 or 3 sentences.

Release of Liability

The RLE Country Faire, its members, officers and directors, all sponsors, co-sponsors and volunteers, will not be responsible for any accident, damage, or loss that may occur to any vehicle or person at any time during, before, or after the event.

The undersigned shall indemnify and hold harmless the RLE Country Faire their officials, and directors, individually and collectively, from and against all charges and expenses of every kind and nature whatsoever, arising out of or which may be incurred by reason of any accident, injury, or damage to person or property caused by ownership, competition or display.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

There will be a MANDATORY Parade Entry meeting on TBD!

Any Entry not attending will not be entered in the Parade.

Parade Check-In: Sat. December 11, 2021 – Check-in begins at 4:00 p.m. at the Westside School Bus Parking Lot on West 2nd St. You will be assigned a check-in time at the mandatory pre-event meeting.

Please check in as soon as you arrive to get your parade number and directions to your “line-up” spot in the parade.

All entries MUST check-in by 5:30 p.m. in order to participate in the Parade.

Rio Linda Christmas Light Parade Starts at 6:00 p.m. sharp at West 2nd & M St.

Do not violate California Vehicle Codes.

For the safety of everyone: No throwing of objects including candy from moving vehicles/floats.

No dangerous stunts or activities are allowed. You may walk along the route and pass out candy, souvenirs, or flyers.

All dogs must be leashed at all times.

All minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

Please submit a short synopsis (35 words or less) of your entry and any information you would like to be announced.

Judging will take place only at the judges reviewing stand in front of Troy Park.

Equestrian units will be last in the parade including any horse/pony drawn vehicles or floats.

Parade Awards will be presented immediately following the Parade in Troy Park at 7th and M Street across from Nuway Market.
