A lot happened but the highlight of the evening was when 2 Twin Rivers patrol cars arrived because Cathy Nelson-Hood called them to remove the audience from the meeting.
The meeting to unseat Mary Harris is taking place at Orchard Elementary, at 6:30pm. Everyone should be there to voice their displeasure with what the grand jury called a "dysfunctional board of directors". I know I won't miss it.
The Rio Linda Elverta Community Water District is cash strapped and operating at less than needed to secure the State loans for the necessary wells. The District will need to put through a rate increase before the first of the coming year to secure the loans, but you can be certain it won’t happen before the election. A contract for legal services such as presented are beyond the District’s finances and should not be signed by the board of directors.
