In the early morning hours of Tuesday, March 14th, a motor vehicle collision took place that resulted in the death of a pedestrian.
At around 4am, a pedestrian was crossing Antelope Road just west of Daly Avenue as a gray BMW was traveling westbound on Antelope Road. The driver of the BMW was unable to stop or slow down before colliding with the pedestrian.
The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene by Sacramento County Metro Fire paramedics.
The California Highway Patrol has determined that DUI is not a factor in this collision.
The pedestrian’s identity is currently unknown and will be determined later by the Sacramento County Coroner.
