Get Pedaling – May is Bike Month

It’s time to tune up your bike because May is Bike Month! Riding a bike to get around isn’t just better for the environment, it’s better for you too! Cycling at a leisurely pace for just one hour a day can burn 500 calories or more. Cycling to work instead of driving reduces air pollution and traffic congestion. Weekend cycling is a great family activity and Sacramento County boasts miles of off-road bike paths in addition to many bike-friendly county streets.
