Hit and Run Driver Kills Pedestrian on Elverta Road

On June 18, 2016, between the hours of 2:00am and 6:00am, an unknown vehicle was traveling eastbound Elverta Road, east of Palladay Road, at an unknown speed.  An unidentified adult female pedestrian was walking eastbound Elverta Road on the south side of the roadway.  For an unknown reason, the vehicle hit the female pedestrian.  The driver of the vehicle fled the scene in the vehicle.  The female pedestrian was pronounced dead at the collision scene.

CHP Investigators are asking for your help in locating the driver and vehicle involved in this collision.  If you have any information regarding this incident, please contact the Special Investigations Unit at the North Sacramento Area CHP office at (916) 348-2300, Monday thru Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. or contact Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers at 443-HELP or 1(800)-AA-CRIME. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
