Obituary – James Noel “Jim” Beene

MILTONVALE, Kan. — James Noel “Jim” Beene, 74, lost his battle on earth and went home to the Lord on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. He passed away at home in Miltonvale surrounded by family.

He was a long-time resident of Rio Linda, California, where he met his wife Deborah and made many friends. Jim moved to Miltonvale to start a new life with his wife, Deborah, and her kids, which he claimed as his own.

He is preceded in death by his son, Jess Noel Beene, and his parents, Jess Marion Beene and Dolores Louise Beene.

He is survived by his wife Deborah of Miltonvale; sister, Donna Long of Rancho Mirage, Calif.; daughter, Chandra Wheeler of Virginia; stepdaughter, Christina Morris of Miltonvale; stepson, Donovan Meadows of Miltonvale; stepdaughter, Julie Meadows of Miltonvale; 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The love he shared with all will keep his memory alive in our hearts forever.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at the First Baptist Church of Clay Center, 902 5th Street, Clay Center, KS 67432. 

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church.

Born and raised in Rio Linda, graduate of Rio Linda High School, and resident for most of the last 50 years. Committee Chair for the Rio Linda Elverta Visions Committee, announcer for the Rio Linda Little League Parade, Keeper of the Archway Lights, and outspoken advocate for the community.
