Sunday July 17th at 10:00 am friends and family of Richard (aka Doug) Franklin are hosting a car wash at Oscars Market on Main Street in Rio Linda.
Richard is a well known Cowboy, Champion Roper and Farrier from the Pleasant Grove area. He had an accident that broke his pelvis and separated the bones, dislocating his hip on July 1st. Surgery put him back together but without medical insurance the hospital must be paid. It’s pretty hard for an old cowboy to be laid up. Fundraising and requesting the community’s help seems to be the best course of action. Please come out and show your support for this wonderful man! He would do it for you! Future BBQ’s with live music are in the works as well as horse training clinics. As these events become finalized we will let you know. Thank you for your support!
