Twin Rivers Nutrition is Offering School Meals 2 Go to ALL Children Once Again

As of August 31st the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) released new Meal Program Waiver Extensions that allow schools to continue to serve meals to children 18 years or under. No longer do you need to be an enrolled Twin Rivers USD student!

Starting Wednesday, September 2nd all children 18 years old and younger are able to receive a free breakfast and lunch each day; no paperwork or ID is necessary.

School Meals 2 Go service will continue to be offered as drive-thru, curb-side pick-up to help maintain safety and social distancing measures during COVID-19. Meals will be offered at Twin Rivers school sites, Monday through Friday from 7 am- 8 am OR 11:30 am -1 pm.

TRUSD Nutrition kindly asks that families picking up meals follow curbside and walk-up meal pickup guidelines. Stay home if you are sick. Wear a face covering over your nose and mouth in order to protect others. Practice good hand washing hygiene. For families walking please remember to practice social distancing and line up 6 feet from the designated pick up spot. Remember to also wait 6 feet behind the person in line ahead of you.

They also ask that families visit only one meal service time and site per day. Only one meal kit per child, per day.
